My New Adventure
I have recently decided to make a business for myself through a company called "Heritage Makers." It's a company that helps you preserve your family stories, as well as can help you make cards, recipe books, invitations, the list goes on and on....Tomorrow I am meeting with my director and I will have my own web site set up, but in the mean time, check out my director's web site: www.storybookforlife.com
I am trying to get as many workshops booked as I can, so if you are interested in preserving your heritage and earning free products, let's chat and get you started!

Kennedy's Baby Name
So a couple days ago I asked Kennedy what we should name our baby. She said, "Strawberry Shortcake." Hmmmm??? I asked her, "What if it's a boy?" And she said, very matter-of-factly, "I don't want a boy." So, there you have it....our next appointment is our ultra-sound, so we'll have to see if we will have some tears shed from the big sister or if we will be having our very own "Strawberry Shortcake."

The Primary Program
Today was the Primary Program....we had some serious anticipation since last year Kennedy totally froze and wouldn't deliver her line, so it was her time to deliver her well-practiced sentence....she walked up to the podium, climbed up on the stool, and wacked her head on the microphone. She said, "Youch! That hurt!" and then delivered her line, "I came to earth as part of a family." It was so funny. I think I was crying I was laughing so hard! Oh Kennedy, we love, love, love you!

Who Are YOU?
One morning this week, I came out of my room to find that Kennedy was already up. (This happens a lot!) When I came out, she yelled, "Mommy! Do you know who Daddy is?" I had NO IDEA where she was going with this, so I just said, "Who is he Kennedy?" With all the enthusiasm she could muster, which is a lot, she YELLED, "He is a child of God!!!" That he is! I don't know why she was thinking about it, but it was so cute.

Our House is Safe Again!
So, we are now swine flu free...Kennedy is doing SO MUCH better! After visiting the ER last Thursday, the doctor gave her new medicine and the correct dose of antibiotics and by Friday night she was doing so much better. She is back to being herself...jumping off the walls and what not! But, I wouldn't change it! I love that she is back. Nobody else got sick, which is a miracle, so I think our house is safe now. Thank you to all my parents and friends for their help last week! I couldn't have gotten through it without you!
And on a happy note...we are officially binki free! No more tears at bed time! Yay!!! It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be.

Life...An Update
It's been a while since I posted anything, so I thought I would give a quick update on us....
*I am out of the 1st trimester, so I am starting to feel better and get a little more energy. I had a dr's appointment a week ago and I got to hear our baby's heart beat, which is always so comforting. I didn't gain any weight since my ultrasound, which is good...hopefully I can slow that part of this pregnancy down.
*Poor Ellis...I cut the tip of his binki and he hates it. But come on...he is 2 for heaven's sake...he DOES NOT need that thing. It was a matter of me being lazy, so we are going on day 2 with no binki at bed time, so hopefully he will get over it soon.
*Poor me...we are on day 3 without Ellis taking a nap! I think Kennedy may have been around his age when she gave up her nap too, which I am NOT ready for!
*Poor Kennedy...she was up to the hospital this week for a flu test. When I heard that the Swine Flu had hit this area I knew that it would hit our house...with our luck, and sure enough, her test came back positive...so, stay away from us.
*Poor Nick...he has been home the last few days from work with a bronchial infection. Oh, the sickness...it never goes away. I am just trying to keep me and Ellis as healthy as we can!
So, this is us in a nut-shell...hopefully you are better than we are!

The Ticker on the Side Bar
Did you see my new ticker over to the right???? I normally wouldn't announce something before the 1st nasty trimester is over, but I am showing already and so since everyone in Rexburg knows, I thought my friends that aren't so near-by would want to know too! So, here's to the Hale Family of 5! (My official due date is April 13th!)

T.M.I.
I feel like all I have done the last few days is clean up poop and barf. I don't know what my kids got, but it was nasty!!! Now, to make matters worse, I barfed twice this morning and what did my darling, loving husband do? He laughed! Do you think there is something wrong with this?

A HUGE Picture Update
We've had a busy month. Nick turned 30! Ellis turned 2! We had a family reunion! Nick and I celebrated our 6-year anniversary! We've just been busy, busy, so here is an update with pics...because isn't that really what is important!? Enjoy...
There is nothing like a surprise party...especially when someone you love turns 30!
The kids loved yelling "surprise" and couldn't run to Nick fast enough.
I saw these adorable cupcakes in Family Fun in June and decided to make them for Nick's b-day cake. He LOVED them!
My sister, Adrienne, and her family were visiting from Arizona, so we got to spend time together as a family celebrating Nick. It was so fun.
We had the party at the park. It was so fun. The kids loved being outside and the park has an awesome spray park and carousel, so everyone was entertained.
I can't believe my baby is 2! His birthday was the 6th of August. My how time flies. He loved the wrapping paper and boxes...why do we buy our kids presents when they are little?
Poor kid...his cake was ugly, but I didn't have a ton of time and I figured he's 2...he won't care what it looks like. He was scared of the candle...it was funny!
My new project and addiction! I had to sew 30 of these for the ward, so after sewing all day one day I got pretty good, so I decided to put my own spin on these and I love them!
Some good friends, Casey and Allie Pixton, came and visited from DC. It was so fun to see them. Thanks for stopping by!
Ellis was watching TV like this the other day...sitting around fat and happy! Isn't that what life is all about?!?!

Pondering
I just received some very sad news from a dear, dear friend of mine. Her father-in-law passed away a week ago. He was only 55. I can't stop thinking about how precious life is and that I need to make every second count with every single person I love. I am so grateful for my friends and family. My prayers are with my friend and her family in this horrible time of pain!

My Final Project!
Today was my final day in my cake decorating class. This cake was my final project cake. It took me FOREVER, but I LOVE it!!!! The first pic is of the back side, so there were more bubbles on the front. (The pic with me in it is the front-view.) I had to think outside of the box for how to make this cake work, but it worked and I loved the final project!

Future Blackmail
I am pretty sure there is going to be a day that Ellis is going to HATE the fact that I took this picture, but I thought it was so cute and I couldn't resist!
